Methodology
Electra Finance compares swap routes and publishes the result. The number that matters is what you keep, not the price in the headline.
Snapshots
A snapshot is taken every 15 minutes. For each pair and each size, providers are quoted in the same window.
The publication carries snapshot_at and snapshot_hash. The hash is the check value
for that publication: anyone can point at a specific snapshot instead of a moving number.
The site reads v_latest_best_routes and refreshes it in the browser every 60 seconds. Until that
view has rows, the tables show — and “First snapshot coming soon”. Missing numbers are never filled in.
Net output
net_out_usd is the value of what the quote delivers after gas and fees. Gas is also published on
its own as gas_usd. Price impact is price_impact_bps. One basis point is 0.01%.
When fees_included is true, the provider’s fees are already inside the quote. The site repeats
that flag when the snapshot sets it. It does not guess.
Shortfall and rank
shortfall_bps is how far a quote’s net output sits behind the best quote in that comparison, in
basis points. The best row is marked is_best and has rank 1. Rank 1 is the best net output, not a
sponsored slot.
Electra Score v0.1
The score is published per provider and per chain on v_provider_leaderboard. The site displays
electra_score as published. It does not invent a score when the leaderboard has none.
50 × win rate + 30 × (1 − min(avg shortfall bps, 100) / 100) + 20 × success rate
- Win rate
- How often the provider is the best route. A fraction from 0 to 1. Stored as
win_rate. - Average shortfall
-
Typical distance behind the winner, in basis points (
avg_shortfall_bps). Inside the formula it is capped at 100 bps, so one extreme quote cannot dominate the score. - Success rate
-
How often the provider returns a usable quote (
quote_success_rate). A fraction from 0 to 1.
A provider who wins every comparison, with no shortfall and every quote succeeding, scores 100. Latency
(latency_p50_ms) is published beside the score. It is not a term in v0.1.
Savings vs median
The route simulator shows one extra figure, calculated in the browser from the quotes already in the snapshot. It is the best net output minus the median net output for that pair and size. It appears only when at least two quotes include a net output. It is not a database column, and it does not change the ranking.
What never enters the ranking
Commissions never affect ranking. Electra Finance does not reorder a route because of a commercial relationship.
The public site only reads. It uses the anon key, never a service role key. It does not connect a wallet, hold funds, or send a transaction.
